F.A.Q.
frequently asked questions
Q: How long after our wedding until we receive our video?
A: Professionally produced wedding videos have
many components and involve many creative decisions. All along the
way
we are mindful that your wedding video is a historical document
as well as a piece of art that you, your friends & family and
future
generations will be happy to view for years to come.
This processes
usually between 4 to 16 weeks, but this time may vary.
Q: What type of cameras do you use?
A: We use professional High Definition Digital Video Tape Canon and
Sony cameras. We use video tape instead of the highly compressed
electronic formats because we believe that tape, with it's lower
compression rate offers superior image quality.
Q: Will we notice you during the ceremony?
A: We do our best to be "invisible". We use "stealthy" cameras &
professional sub-miniature wireless & super directional
long
distance "shotgun" microphones. We work with the ceremony officiates
to determine what we can film & where we can
place the cameras. We
try not to use supplemental lighting. Most of the time your guests
will not know that we are filming.
That being said... filming a once
in a lifetime live event presents us with the challenge of being
invisible and making sure
that we do not miss a shot.
As a rule we will always try to be there for "that" shot of a
lifetime first and being invisible
secondly.
Q: How can we reserve a date or set up a meeting?
A: For Tamarack to hold your date open, just contact us, send 25%
of your chosen package cost (you can change/customize your package
later if needed) and we will then put a hold on your date. We
will then send to you a wedding package kit which contains a
contract and other important & helpful information. To
book/reserve your date you need to send 50% of your chosen package
cost and sign and return to us the contract. To meet with us
just contact us via phone, e-mail, Skype or snail mail and we will
schedule a time for us to meet.
Q: What kind of clothes will you wear to
my wedding?
A: We dress in appropriate attire for the "terrain". For an
indoor ceremony and reception, unless advised by you differently,
Roy will dress in a conservative dark suit/tie. Rebecca in a modest
dress. For any outdoor activity we will talk to you first but we
will dress accordingly (ie:beach= cool & loose, on remote rugged
hike ins to remote waterfalls ... you get the picture.
Q: Do I have to provide a reception meal
for you & your crew?
A: No it is not a requirement... however we too will be
hungry. We certainly will appreciate a wedding meal as much as the
next person but we are fine with a "vendor" meal if your caterer has
one or if we know in advance we will provide a "brown bag" for
ourselves. In any advent we will need a place to eat (in view of the
main action) and time to eat. We do not drink alcohol during any
event that we are working. We will also will need a place to take a
few short breaks during a full day of filming and access to a
room/closet to store some of our gear at the reception venue.
